About Us — StormDriven

Our Story

StormDriven was founded in 2019 by a group of five friends who met at a LAN party in Newtown, Sydney. Frustrated by the lack of Australia-specific gaming coverage — reviews that ignored local server performance, tournament news that arrived days late, and content clearly written for overseas audiences — they decided to build something better.

What started as a weekend blog quickly grew into one of Australia's most-read independent gaming platforms, with a team of over 20 contributors spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth.

Today, StormDriven publishes in-depth game reviews, covers live esports events on the ground, and runs a weekly newsletter reaching more than 80,000 subscribers across Australia and New Zealand.
